About the Harrow Art Society
Harrow Art Society is the oldest art society in the area. It was founded in 1934 to promote interest in the arts in Harrow. Our first exhibition was held in December 1935. Membership is open to artists and creative people from all traditions in visual art. All our events occur on Saturdays, usually between 2pm to 4.30pm.
Annual membership is currently £35 per year (£5 for under-sixteens) and members can attend demonstrations and practical sessions without additional charge (small charge for refreshments).
Members can exhibit their work at the exhibitions (normally twice a year) but for 2016 just the summer exhibition. Guests are welcome to attend the demos for a charge of £3.
The Society is governed by a committee elected annually by the members under the constitution. Any member is able to stand for a post on the committee.
